Twilight Skate on the River brings outdoor skating, music, and an evening along the Detroit River to the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge.
Bring your skates, a few chairs, and something to sip. Explore the grounds, spend time near the river, and settle in as the sun goes down.
Children and adults are welcome, whether they skate or simply enjoy the setting. A limited number of children’s rental skates may be available, so guests should bring their own when possible.
There is no cost to attend and no registration required. Every skater must complete the event waiver and media release before entering the skating area. Complete the forms in advance for faster check-in and more time to enjoy the evening.

Children may not be dropped off or left unattended. A parent, guardian, or responsible accompanying adult must remain at the event with them.
Parents, guardians, and accompanying adults are responsible for supervising the children in their care at all times.
Sarovyn staff do not provide childcare or individual child supervision.
The event will take place on an outdoor paved surface.
Outdoor pavement feels different from a traditional indoor skating floor and may include changes in texture, seams, or minor surface irregularities.
Guests should skate carefully and remain alert.

Yes. Photography and video may take place throughout the event.
The media release section must be completed for every participating adult and minor. You may decline permission to be photographed or recorded. Guests who decline will be identified during check-in, and the media team will accommodate that selection throughout the event.
The adult completing the forms for a minor must make a separate media selection for each child in their care.
Small personal coolers are permitted.
Coolers must remain outside the skating area and should not obstruct walkways, parking access, or guest seating.
