Yes. Guests are strongly encouraged to bring their own skates.

A limited number of children’s rental skates may be available, but sizes and quantities cannot be guaranteed.

Guests may bring:

• Their own roller skates
• Folding chairs
• Water and nonalcoholic beverages
• Light snacks
• Helmets and protective equipment (optional, not required to skate)
• Sunscreen
• Insect repellent
• A phone or screenshot containing their unique identifier code

Bring only what you can comfortably carry and manage during the event.

Yes. Photography and video may take place throughout the event.

The media release section must be completed for every participating adult and minor. You may decline permission to be photographed or recorded. Guests who decline will be identified during check-in, and the media team will accommodate that selection throughout the event.

The adult completing the forms for a minor must make a separate media selection for each child in their care.

Twilight Skate on the River is a family event.

Adults, children, and families are welcome to attend. A parent, guardian, or responsible adult must remain with children throughout the event.

The event will take place outdoors in the parking lot at the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge.

Guests should dress for an outdoor evening event.

Seating will be limited.

Guests who would like to sit during the event should bring a folding chair.

Chairs must be placed outside the designated skating area.

Guests should plan to bring their own snacks and beverages.

Food service should not be assumed unless an on-site vendor is specifically announced before the event.

Yes. Sarovyn hosts public skate events throughout the year.

We are not a traditional roller rink. Sarovyn is a curated movement and cultural experience that includes structured training programs and select public skate sessions.
