Adults. Sarovyn is an adult roller skating community in Detroit. We do not run kids' programs, birthday parties, or camps.

Training sessions are closed to spectators. We keep the room focused so participants can move, learn, and build confidence without distraction. If you’d like to bring friends or guests, our public skate sessions are open to adults 21 and over.

Not necessarily. The boot and plate can be the same.

What changes are the wheels and bearings.

Indoor wheels are harder and designed for smooth rink surfaces. Outdoor wheels are softer and better suited for pavement or textured ground. We recommend having two sets of wheels, one for indoor use and one for outdoor use, and switching them as needed.

If budget allows, some skaters choose to keep two separate pairs of skates so they do not have to change wheels.

Sarovyn operates through curated pop-up events and structured training programs across select locations in Detroit.

Event and training locations are shared at the time of registration. Each experience is intentionally placed based on format and capacity.

Skates must be safe and appropriate for the person using them.

Guests should not use damaged skates or skates with missing safety components. Sarovyn staff may prevent the use of equipment that appears unsafe.

Guests should plan to bring their own adult skates.

Adult skate rental availability should not be assumed.

No. Rental skates cannot be reserved or guaranteed in advance.

Any available rental skates will be distributed on site based on size and availability.

The responsible adult must actively supervise the children in their care.

The adult does not have to skate, but must remain close enough to monitor the child and respond when assistance is needed.

Yes. Participants must be 21 years or older.
